North Carolina native; Jody Lo continues his winning streak with another project released. This
mixtape holds to the usual standard from Jody Lo as far as quality, so in other words there’s no
shortage of lyricism and catchy bars. Titled “Dope” because its about the effects of dope and it’s
a dope project so the title is a double entendre. It’s not only about selling dope, but also about
rappers lying about selling dope and us having almost no other option in low income
communities, while rappers as role models influenced generations to throw their lives away.
What makes this project unique is the diversity in the content which is out of the usual for Jody
Lo, and this project has a song for every mood.
Bio: Jody Lo born JEAUDI GRAY on August 6th in the small town of Winston-Salem,
North Carolina. Started to fall in love with hiphop at 8 years old after listening to Back
For the First time by Ludacris. After hearing the album a few times, started writing his
own songs. After practicing writing and reciting for more than 10 years, Jody Lo hit the
studio for the first time at 21 years old when he recorded the hustle & flow mixtape,
Substance, substance 1.5 & Sack Religion/ Also appeared on Dj Smallz Eyes in a 27
minute interview.
